data-content-type=""
All Exchange messages are encrypted in transit. This page will cover end-to-end encryption options through Office 365 Message Encryption that is built into Outlook clients.
Directions for encrypting a message:
- Begin composing an email
- Select encrypt
- On Windows: Select Options, then Encrypt.
- On Mac: You may have to click the three eclipses on your tool bar and add the Encryption option. Then, select Encryption.
- Decide which type of encryption option you’d like. We recommend choosing “BYU Office 365 - Confidential” for most purposes.
When a recipient receives a message, they may have to open the message in a browser. If they try to read the message from gmail.com
