IMPORTANT POINTS
The university provides a byu.edu email account for all BYU email communications.
BYU email communications must only go to byu.edu email accounts.
Auto-forwarding email messages from a campus mailbox to an external account (Gmail, MSN, Yahoo, etc.) is prohibited.
Students must receive all university communications through their netid@byu.edu student account.

HOW THE COMMUNITY CAN HELP
Use university provided email for all BYU-related communications.
Do not create automatic rules that forward all email to a personal email address.
Check university-provided email regularly for university communications.
Report any email purporting to be official that does not use a university-provided email to phishing@byu.edu.
Use netid@byu.edu email addresses for all communications to BYU students.
